Gowri's Story
Gowri and her family were forced to work in a woodcutting unit for nearly 10 years before being rescued in 2010. Even after gaining freedom, they faced threats and pressure to stay silent.
Gowri chose to speak up. Today she works with government officials, supports other survivors, and helps rebuild her community.
Her story shows how courage, support, and collective action can create change and why awareness matters.
Stories like Gowri’s help us understand how global supply chains connect everyday products to real people’s lives.
